– Arrange the audio of the interview or voice over (SOT/ VO) first.
– Try to match the visuals with what is being said. Do this also keeping in mind the previous lessons learned about good editing (no jump cuts, using a variety of vantage points, etc.).
– Avoid leaving the interviewee on the screen for more than 12 seconds at a time.
– Use natural sound if possible.
– Try to keep background noise consistent (white noise, sound levels, etc).
– Check the spelling of names, titles, and other text.
